Mary Garrish
Happy
are the painters, for they shall never be lonely. Light and
color, peace and hope will keep them company until the end of
the day." -Winston Churchill
It is this philosophy that inspires artist Mary Garrish in her
pursuit of Plein Air painting.
Beginning a career as a surgeon, she left medicine for full time
painting over a decade ago. She paints landscapes around the
world, both on site and in the studio. Mary is the past
President of the national America Impressionist Society, and
currently serves as the Vice President.
Her work can be seen in numerous private and corporate
collections. She will be the national Artist in Residence for
Everglades National Park in March 2010.
